In an effort to simplify and maintain our bi-monthly production schedule, we have initiated the following policies for all advertisers:

All advertisers are required to fill out, sign and return the enclosed display order "contract." First-time video product advertisers must also sign and return the enclosed "Video Disclaimer" to this office.

All payments for advertising must be received by the appropriate issue's due date. (See the enclosed Filmfax Advertising Calendar.) In order to maintain our production schedule, we must paginate each magazine in advance; therefore, we must know what ads will appear in each issue. We will not schedule an ad if it has not been paid for.

Advertisers running 2/3 page ads or smaller are requested to pay their total contract amount when the first ad is run. Billing advertisers each issue and the follow-up calls required has become too expensive to continue.

Advertisers taking out a multiple rate are required to run their ads consecutively.

All ads must be submitted as actual-size camera-ready artwork. Any ad copy changes for previously submitted ads must be received by the appropriate issue's "artwork due" date. Over 10 lines of changes constitute a major change: a typesetting/paste-up fee will be charged. Cost will be determined by the extent of the changes. Changes are to be submitted in writing only. We will not accept changes over the phone. (Although we have tried to accommodate advertisers' last-minute changes in the past, we are now forced to emphasize that there will no longer be any exceptions to this policy.) Artwork and changes received after the due date will appear in the next issue. It is the advertiser's responsibility to keep track of the schedule.

Hand-typed or sloppy hand-printed ads will not be accepted for placement in our display section. If you cannot design or typeset your own ad, rates will be given on request for companies or individuals requiring the services of our art department.

IMPORTANT: If an advertiser has paid for his ad, but decides to cancel after the payment due date, monies will not be refunded. Our reasons are simple: By then, it is too late to resell the space and we must fill it with non-paying editorial material or a "filler" house ad.

We continue to get phone calls from advertisers requesting information on merchandise, videos, etc. that are being sold by other advertisers, and general unrelated business calls. These calls are unnecessary and time consuming. Filmfax sells advertising space only. We are not involved in your business. While we appreciate hearing from our advertisers occasionally, we do request that you limit your phone calls to business and make them between the hours of 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM (CST).
