OutrŽ
Products proudly presents the enigmatic cinema work of BEHOLD! Edward
D. Wood, Jr.Ñwriter-director-producer of such unforgettable entertainment
as Plan 9 From Outer Space, Glen or Glenda and Bride of the Monster.
This is the most comprehensive selection of Wood films currently
available on video.
PLAN
9 FROM OUTER SPACE (1959)
Gregory Walcott, Tom Keene, Tor Johnson, Vampira, Lyle Talbot, Criswell,
Conrad Brooks, Bela Lugosi. Written, produced and directed by Ed
Wood. The film that made Ed Wood a legend. Aliens turn dead bodies
into murdering zombie slaves. It's all hereÑthe not-so-special effects,
the cardboard sets, and the outrageously obvious double for Lugosi.
The most popular cult classic ever! #1478
GLEN
OR GLENDA? (aka I Changed My Sex,
1953) Daniel Davis (Ed Wood), Bela Lugosi, Dolores Fuller.
Written and directed by Ed Wood. Wood stars as "Glenda" in this
autobiographical epic about a transvestite tortured by his secret
life. One of the greatest exploitation movies of all time! #1479
BRIDE
OF THE MONSTER (1956) Bela
Lugosi, Tor Johnson, Loretta King. Written, produced and directed
by Ed Wood. Lugosi, in his last speaking role, stars as a mad scientist
who is determined to create a race of super-powered atomic beings
in his swamp laboratory. A wild, irresistibly charming mess of a
movie. #1477
NIGHT
OF THE GHOULS (aka Revenge of the
Dead, 1959) Kenne Duncan, Tor Johnson, Paul Marco, Valda
Hansen, Criswell. Written, produced and directed by Ed Wood. In
this sequel to Bride of the Monster, a phony mystic operates in
a strange house surrounded by ghosts and monsters. #1965
THE
SINISTER URGE (1960) Kenne
Duncan, Duke Moore, Carl Anthony, Jean Fontaine, Dino Fantini, Jeanne
Willardson. Written, directed and co-produced by Ed Wood. Wood's
campy exposŽ of the smut picture racket. Police try to track down
a sex killer and put an end to the dirty movie business that inspired
his hideous crime. #X070
ED
WOOD: LOOK BACK IN ANGORA (1994)
Narrated by Gary Owens. The true story of Hollywood's most eccentric
filmmaker. Wood's movies were his life, so it is only fitting that
those films be used to create his diary. #1481
JAIL
BAIT (1954)
Lyle Talbot, Timothy Farrell, Dolores Fuller, Steve Reeves. Produced,
directed and co-written by Ed Wood. Wood tackles film nor in this
tale of a young man who becomes involved with hoodlums, fast living,
and murder. #X022
ORGY
OF THE DEAD (1965) Criswell,
Pat Barringer, William Bates. Directed by A.C. Stephen. Wood wrote
the screenplay and served as assistant director for this horror
nudie film featuring the amazing Criswell and a harem of strippers
playing ghouls from the twilight world! #5901
THE
VIOLENT YEARS (1956) Jean
Moorhead, Barbara Weeks, Timothy Farrell. Directed by William M.
Morgan. Wood wrote this hilarious screenplay about a girl gang that
holds up gas stations and molests men. So what's not to love? #X024
MARRIED
TOO YOUNG (1962) Harold
Lloyd, Jr., Anthony Dexter, Jana Lund, Marianna Hill. A forgotten
Ed Wood film. He was hired to write the last 20-25% of the script,
but his contribution wasn't credited in the opening titles. The
story concerns a pair of high school sweethearts who get married
and find the burdens of real life too tough. Trouble comes when
they get mixed up in a hot car racket. #JS28
CROSSROAD
AVENGER/TRICK SHOOTING WITH KENNE DUNCAN
(1954) Tom Keene, Lyle Talbot, Tom Tyler. Ed Wood wrote and
produced this half-hour TV pilot, shot in color. Keene plays the
hero in this typical shoot-'em-up Western. Also included is a short
subject of famed Western star Kenne Duncan's amazing ability as
a trick shooter. This color oddity was produced and directed by
Wood in the early '60s. #X080
FOR
LOVE AND MONEY (1967) Michelle
Angelo, Norma Mimosa, Michi Tani, Janice Kelly. Directed by Don
Davis. James Rogers based his screenplay for this ultra-cheap nudie
flick on Ed Wood's novel Sexecutives (the original story is credited
to "Edward Davis"Ña pseudonym for Wood?). A group of well-endowed
women use their "assets" to penetrate and dominate the high-powered
world of big business. Yikes! #4157
THE
LOVE FEAST (aka The Photographer,
1969) Ed Wood, Linda Colpin. Directed by Joseph F. Robertson.
Screenplay by Ed Wood. Sexual abandon reaches epidemic proportions
at the house of photographer Mr. Murphy (Wood) when this swingin'
shutterbug invites some groovy chicks to drop by for a private audition.
Before long, he has more babes than he can handle. An unbelievably
awful movie, featuring one of Wood's rare starring roles. #4241
TAKE
IT OUT IN TRADEÑTHE OUTTAKES (1970)
Duke Moore, Michael Donovan O'Connell, Ed Wood. Directed by Ed Wood.
These are silent "outtakes"Ñslates, flubs, unused sex scenes, and
Ed Wood himselfÑfrom Take It Out in Trade, a screwball sexploitation
comedy that marked Wood's return to the director's chair for the
first time since 1960's The Sinister Urge. See naked gals having
sex on a pool table, an androgynous couple making out in a kitchen,
and the incredible sight of Wood playing a drag queen! #5098
NECROMANIA
(1971) Ric Lutze, Rene Bond, Maria Arnold. Written and directed
by Ed Wood. This is the only surviving footage (43 minutes worth)
of the rarest and most sought after "lost" Wood featureÑit's a crazy
mix of sex, nudity and spookiness. A dimwitted couple, in need of
sexual therapy, enter Madam Heles's haunted house and find cheap
sets, wacky dialogue, and a naked gal in Criswell's coffin! Hosted
by filmmaker Frank Henenlotter (Basket Case, Frankenhooker), who
discusses the film with Wood biographer Rudolph Grey. Plus, as an
added bonus, a special abbreviated version of The Love Feast. #5068
ONE
MILLION AC/DC (1969) Gary
Kent, Susan Berkley, Sharon Wells, Jack King. Directed by Ed De
Priest. Ed Wood allegedly wrote the script for this screwball soft
porn prehistoric sex comedy under the pseudonym "Akdon Telmig" (one
letter away from "Vodka Gimlet"). There's lots of softcore sex,
a dinosaur played by a small plastic toy, a couple of shots from
the original One Million B.C., and a cavegirl having sex with a
gorilla! #5298
