A rich, philandering husband is found murdered in his posh penthouse
apartment. At one point, all the lights go out and a suspect is
found shot. The police arrest the wrong man, but the neighbor below
figures out who did it and the trick weapon used for the crime.

Bill Cody, Lane Chandler, Tom London. A very rare, very bizarre
Western thriller that's definitely in the "Forgotten Horrors" vein.
Custer, Cody, and Chandler play a trio of cowboys out to thwart
villain London. Featured is an ape-like, mute giant who sadistically
beats up Cody and keeps him hostage for most of the movie. The creature's
scenes are shot with a "horrific" lighting style to add to his menace.

MYSTERY
RANCH (1932) George O'Brien,
Cecilia Parker, Roy Stewart, Charles Middleton, Noble Johnson. A
horror-Western if there ever was one! Very Gothic, even Germanic.
Middleton is unforgettable as a maniacal ranch baron who considers
himself lord of his region. O'Brien is the lawman sent to stop his
schemes. Johnson is memorable as "Mudo," Middleton's monstrous henchman.
